Whew, I can't believe I actually have time to sit down and write an entry. I've been pretty much spending time at school doing rotations. So far, it's been radiology, community classroom (spay/neuter at the shelter), anesthesia, necropsy, clinical pathology, vacation, and ophthalmology. Next week, it's equine surgery. I don't think my dogs
will be seeing me any time soon. I'm finally going home to visit my mom after 4 months tomorrow
. I only have time to stay a day, though, because I am on call Monday evening. I also have to study for my national board exam, which is in November. I'll be glad when that is over.
We did a really cool surgery last Friday. We did eye surgery on a 6 ft long green moray eel

I'm glad that I don't have to do any more shelter rotations. I pickd up two kittens while i was there. One of them was on the death list the day he arrived b/c he had a leg infection. We ended up amputating his leg, and after two months of antibiotics and possibly losing the other leg to infection, he seems to be perfectly healthy now....knock on wood.
