RIP Pistol

  • Mood: melancholy :(

My little goat died today.  He was sick for over a year now and had cheated death a few times this past year.  He was found in the pasture.  I hope he did not suffer and hopefully died in the sunshine today.  I am going to go and get his body tomorrow and do an abbreviated necropsy on Sunday or Monday to take a look at his lungs.  He had been having respiratory problems for over a year and had had almost every antibiotic available.  He was super sweet and I was hoping he would hold on until I could get all of my animals together later this summer.  He just couldn't hold on until then.

RIP baby.  I'll always remember you and your sweet face....

I found your site from Sybil's Message Board. After reading about Val & your sweet goat, I was sad to read she passed on. I am sorry. God says He has many surprises for us. I think one of them will be our animal pets reunited with us. Won't that be a happy surprise for all of us.
My husband, daugheter and I have 3 miniture donkeys and a new little cow ( I tell her story on Sybill's Message Board).

My daughter is just starting college while you are leaving school. Any advise for her?

Also, how is Val doing? I hope you didn't eat him. My daughter & I are vegetarians. She has been since birth. She stands out in a crowd with a glow of good health & beauty. So she has survived not eating meat. I am very healthy too.

I am glad to meet you. Again, sorry for your loss. Linda Field

I came across your site while looking for some veterinary school information and was looking for some advice. I read that your ex-military and I am currently in the Army. I have finished my political science degree, but still need the pre-vet science reqs. I worked in a kennel when I was younger and did some tech work so I have some experience. When I get out in 3 years I plan on applying fo vet schools. My undergrad GPA was only a 2.5 so anything I can do to help my chances would be great. Any advice? Thanks.
